Some neighbors may recall that previous owner Jim Sargent painted the building a [shall we say] poetic brown just prior to putting it on the market in late ‘02. We took ownership in Febuary ‘03. That’s me with our friend Mahoko who managed to buy another building on Sheridan after us, remodel it and move in before we even broke ground. Yikes!

While we labored through the design and permitting process, the building offered space for artists Jonah Roll and Brian Goggin to pursue their work. Jonah published a body of work created during his time at 55 Sheridan. Among other works, Brian produced Desire for the Other at 55 Sheridan.
