Sunrise, New Year’s Eve 2007. The waning night’s cold air glazes frost on the roof deck furniture. We have much for which to be appreciative. We’re moved in. Most of the boxes have been emptied. The punch list is under five pages. People living on Sheridan St. have (largely) set the annoyance of construction behind them and put on the bright face of neighborliness. What a long strange trip it’s been. Happy New Year everyone!

Monday, April 30th, 2007Party on the Roof! 2
Tuesday, September 12th, 2006We were admiring Whiteside Construction’s freshly poured roof deck last weekend and started snapping pictures of the horizon. To our delight they assembled quite nicely together. The image which loads [upon clicking the thumbnail below] is quite large and may stall your browser momentarily during transfer, especially if your connection is a bit spotty. But do have a look and enjoy identifying some of your favorite landmarks. On some browsers, after it loads, if you click on the big image, it will further expand and you can use the scroll handles to navigate around the image.

Party on the Roof!
Sunday, September 10th, 2006A few weeks back we were at the site testing out some lighting options for the stair tower. At night, of course. I tromped up the still in-progress fire escape–reminescent of a six year-old’s grin with the odd missing stair here and there–to check out the night roof view. Have a look. Martinis anyone?
